NEW ZEALAND PROPAGANDA.
AN UNREPENTANT IMMIGRANT,
(To tie Editor.) I am glad to see the optimism of "GrateW Homio" and others. I am still unrepentant and have nothing to withdraw from mv prei vious letter. In answer to "Another Britisher f I have to reply that my information 'about New Zealand was derived from the office of tho High Commissioner iu London and from nowhere else. The remark of "Another Britisher" that there are thousands of acres of land in the backblocks on sale "at anvthin" from £r> per acre upwards" leaves me cold It would bo interesting to know what would' bo the capital cost per acre after the busii had been cleared and burnt, the land laid down to grass, and the property fenced Øog into proper paddocks, and the* net annual returns per acre. I have lived in the backblocks several times, and a good financial return is certainly deserved there. Mv com . plaint that the propaganda stunt is overdone is confirmed by the opinion of Miss Lutv a member of the British Labour party, who' 'on her visit here last month, is reported in the Press as saying "with regard to New Zealand the propaganda has been—well, it has been brutal." Let us therefore have the truth the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. ' BRITISHER.
