CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
fifty-two cases of .food poisoning were included in the notifications of infectious and other notifiable diseases received at the Christchurch office of the Health Department during the week which ended at noon yesterday. Colonel F. W. W. Dawson, Assistant Medical Officer oi Health in the Canterbury district, states that the cases'all occurred. : at & convent the teachers,, staff and pupils being affected. Something they had eaten at an ordinary meal caused the poisoning, but he had not yet been advised what the fpod" was. : All ' the: patients were confined to bed, but none »as seriously affected.
