THE MAYOR OF NAPIER. ELIGIBLE FOR RE-ELECTION. ißγ Telegraph.—Press Association.! NAPIER, this day. The Mayor of Napier, Mr. J. Vigor Brown, was to-day informed by the borough solicitors that, a firm in which he was interested having sold cement to the council in the year prior to his election, and for which payment was made after his election, he automatically forfeits his seat. The money had been repaid to the council by the drm concerned, and this fact led the solicitor to the opinion that Mr. Brown is eligible for re-election. The amount involved was £.57.
