MRKENHEAD AND NORTHCOTE REGATTA. DISTRIBUTION- OF PRIZES. Tbc annual regatta promoted by the residents of Birkrnh.ad and Nortbcnte in March, was a very successful one. The fortunate prize winners and their friends attended in full force at the Masonic Hall. Xortheote. on Saturday evening, when the prizes were distributed by Mr. C. E. Campbell, president of the resratta committee. Mr. A. V. Tver, chairman of committee, presided, and ho said the past rojiattn had been the best vet held. Thanks were due to all who had assisted especially Mr. W. A. Wilkinson, the starter and judge. Mr. Noel .1. Campbell, the honorary secretary and treasurer, Nobel's Explosives. Ltd.. fo'r use of the flagship, the Indies" committeee. Misses Reed, McGilp. Piper and Devlin, also the residents of Nnrtbcnte. Birkenhead and Chelsea who had subscribed £110 to the funds. The principal winners were Victory, Scout. Waitere. Rakoa. Surprise. Alert'e. Mighty Atom. Curlew nnd Valeka. The side-show prizes were also presented by Mr. Campbell, who also thanked the Victoria Cruising Club for combining their fixture. Refreshments were served during an interval, and dancing continued until midnight, to the music of Mayall's orchi-stru.
