TWO CARS COLLIDE.
ACCIDENT IN MANGERE.
Two motor cars were involved in a collision in Robertson Road, Mangere, yesterday afternoon. The cars, one driven by Mr. Allender, of Market Road, Kemuera, and the other by Mr W H Dawson,ofHobson Street, City, me t at a point in the roafl where there is a high bank on one side and a slight dip on the other.
Both cars swerved to opposite sides of the highway, and Mr. Allender's car mounted the bank and capsized, pinning its five occupants, three women and two men, underneath. Had it not been for the fact that the hood crumpled slowly they would probably have been badly hurt. As it is, they escaped little the worse for their experience. Mr. Dawson's car came to a standstill in a depression on the other side of the road, undamaged. Mr. Allender's car, however, was badly knocked about. The hood was completely twisted, while other parts of the body asd framework were bent. The car -wm, a new one, insured with the.JSputfr British -Insurance Co., Ltdr -■■'■.
