KNOCKED OVER BY SHOCK.
FITTER'S DEATH AT MAXGAHAO. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH. Sunday. At the inquest into the death of Mark Gardiner at Mangabao yesterday, evidence was given to the effect that he came in contact with a live wire not of sufficient power to kill him. but sufficient to knock him over. Gardiner had been warned to be careful, as another worker had received a shock a few hours previously when working in the same position. A verdict was returned that death was due to shock through sudden immersion in ice-cold water.
