AORANGI AND HAURAKI ARRIVE PHOSPHATE CARGO FROM HAUBV. The amount of tonnage In port was considerably augmented by the week-end arrivals, the most important of which were the RAl.m.e. Aorangi from Vancouver, bound to Sydney, the motor ship Hanraki, with cargo from the Pacific Slope, and the Waipiata from the South. This evening the Haggersgate is due from Nauru Island with a cargo of phosphate, and to-morrow the M»ra::;a will arrive from Sydney, the Kaiwarra from Newcastle, and the Wai pa hi from the Cook Islands. A cable from Newport News statw that the New Zealand Shipping Co.'s steamer Hororata. en route from London to Wellington and Auckland, via Suva, arrived there on Saturday, t>he is due here about July 25. MARAMA DCE TO-MORBOW. With passengers, mail, and cargo, the Union Company's steamer Marama will arrive at Auckland from Sydney at 7.30 a.m. to-morrow, according to her radio report. She will berth about an hour later at the Queen's wtiarf. The Marama is to sail on her return trip to Sydney at U p.m. on Friday. ■ ' HAGGEBSGATE FROM NAURU. Adverse weather conditions have delayed the steamer Haggersgnte. and the vessel is new expected to arrive at Auckland from Nauru Island this evening. She was previously due at mid-day. Line's chartered steamer Wirral on her voyage from New York, and she Ims reported that ehe will not reach Auckland until midday on Thursday. Her other discharging ports are Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin, and Wanganui. The New Zealand Shipping Company are the locul agents. AORANGI IN PORT. The Union Company's R.M.m.s. Aorangi arrived at Auckland from Vancouver yesterday afternoon, berthing at the Prince's Wharf. The motorship sailed from Vancouver on June 1, and mad* the customarv calls at Honolulu and Suva. Fine weather was experienced across the Pacific, the ship's speed averaging 16.5 knots. The Aorangi commenced discharge of her general cargo this morning, and is announced to resume her voyage to Sydney at 8 o'clock thi* evening. KTJKSALPI CHANGES HANDS. At present laid np off Judge's Bay. the seal! steamer Kurnnlpi has experienced a change of ownership, having been purchased by Mr. P. Appleton. machinery merchant, of Newmarket. Formerlv owned by the Melbourne Steamship Co., the Knrnalpi was bought by a Dargaville syndicate for service between Auckland and northern ports. She reached Auckland on January 14. 192e. and made several trips on the coast, but in June of the same year was laid up in thf> stream, where she has remained ever since. An exceptionally fine-weather voyage across the l'acitic was experienced by the Union Company's motorship Hauraki, which arrived at Auckland yesterday morning. Today she commenced discharge of her timber, ca»e oil, and general cargo at the Prince's wharf The vessel loaded her cargo at Vancouver, Powell River, Ocean Falls, and San Francisco, and sailed from 'Frisco on May 27. She is to continue her voyage to Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney at"s p.m. to-morrow. Going from Vancouver to San Francisco, the Hauraki picked up S.O.S. wireless calls from the steamer Indian Harbonr, which was ashore at Point Garda. The motorship immediately made full speed for the distressed vessel, and arrived at the scene of the wreck within two hours of receiving the calls.
