Some surprise has been caused at th* decision in the appeal to the Racing Committee which exonerated Mr. M. Wells, *»* upheld tho suspension of the jockey. Wells says he takes full responsibility f° r **J instructions issued to hi.* jockey. H «>,•■» these orders were held legal by "the committ«*j why was the appeal by the jockey not upheld* Mr. Wells was exonerated." and ' nothing tta* has been disclosed would indicate that tW jockey did not follow hi* instruction* »« *J understood them.
