The defendant pleaded not guilty A constable said that ho had ' defendant boeing turnip The defendant said that farming w a > pot his usual occupation. He was "filling in a bit of -pare time before he walked three miles to Pukekohe to attend an Anzac Day Service. Three of his sons had gone to the war. and one had been killed. The charge was dismissed. George Carr and George Fawcett. residents of Pukekohe. pleaded guiltv to a similar charge, and were ordered 'to pav court cost-. I
