RADIO RELAY.

MESSAGES FROM HOLLAND. PALMERSTON ACHIEVEMENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON, NORTH, this day. At 6.30 this morning the Pajmerston North Radio Club, in co-operation with Mr. Waters, chief engineer of the Mana-watu-Oroua Power Board, successfully relayed the Dutch short-wave station PCJJ. Announcements and music from Holland came through clearly until eight o'clock, when bright sunshine caused the, signals to fail rapidly. The club asserts this to be the longest distance over which relaying has been done, Holland being approximately 11,750 miles away, and that therefore the feat constitutes a world's record. The record was previously held by 2BL Sydney. Last Sunday the club achieved a Dominion record in relaying 2XAF, New York.
