FINANCIAL REVIEW OF THE YEAR.

Waitemata County Council to-day elected Mr. H. Day aa chairman for the enduing year, in succession to Mr. G. O'Halloran. Mr. Dny has been a member of the council for 15 yean, and has previously served as chairman.

The administration expenses have been considerably lessened by the credit to the general account of heavy traffic license fees, which total approximately £3.100.
