DEVONPORT'S NEW WHARF.
WORK WELL FORWARD
Particulars of the construction of the new wharf at Devonport are contained in the engineer's report, submitted to a meeting of the Harbour Board davUp tiil May 17, 65 piles had been driven, this being 23 per cent of the whole number which will be required for the work. The concreting of the decking was commenced on April 28 and to date r>576 square feet has been completed, this being approximately 10 Ft cent of the area of the whart. Arrangements have al?p been made With the Devonport Borough Council to proceed with the permanent concrete loading for the approach to the new cargt> Ind vehicular wharf, so that the traffic may be transferred to the new concrete wharf approach at an early date - __—-—-===
