THE SOCCER TOURNEY.
(Bv "SINBAD.")
* A team of Soccerites is here from Canada's far chilly clime, determined all to make it clear that we are quite outelassed this time. "At Uugby, w thus *ay the Canucks, "you hare the world licked to a treat; but under Soccer rules, *%, shucks I we sure are very hard to beat. We're not the slightest bit afraid of any team that you can pick, * etedy of the game we've made, and we win make you look quite sick. You have your Nepias and Cookes to juggle with the oval ball, and, ae for forward stars, it looks as if'the Brownies heat them all. We must admit All Blacks* fame has even to our country -come; but- Soccer is our favoured game, and= we will make you travel some." Oh, these C*nnck* are maybe right, but Soccer gets a hearing here, and Maoriland's eleven might 0* fifteen emulate this year.
