GIFTS TO UNIVERSITY.
SEVERAL SCHOOLS BENEFIT.
Numerous donations to the Auckland College were received by the college Council yesterday. The gifts yrere as follow: To the physics department, two astronomical eyepieces and three convex mirrors, from Mr. Robin°f - 14 ®' Balmoral Road; to the fcchool of Architecture, a set of town planning reviews, from the Hon. Geo. Fowlds, and a collection of house and garden magazines, from Miss M. WhiteJaw, of 30, Aldred Road, Remuera; to the Bchool of Law, a complete set of HalsJuiyß Encyclopaedia of Laws of Eng. land, English and Empire Digest, the (Ten Years' Digest, the Pandects of yustuuan, the works of Pothier, Braeton's Notebook, and Bracton's de LegiNs, from Mr. H. O, Seth-Smith, of 88, jvictoria Avenue, Remuera; and to the Bchool of Architecture, two academic studies by the late Sir David Wilkie, from Captain C. Humphreys-Davies, freshwater, Clevedon. The Hon. Geo. Fowlds (president) fc&id the donations were valuable, and « was decided to thank the donors.
