Brookes, of Invcrcargill, who is visiting Auckland, is staying at the Commercial Hotel. • * * Colonel and Mrs. BUset, who are recent arrivals in the Dominion, have left Auckland to settle in Kelson.
Mr. and Mrs. W. I!. Daly who have been visiting tlio Dominion are homeward Ijound, after an enjoyable holiday. Miss H. Audrjsed, of Oakland, California, and Miss M. Lord, of Xew York, are staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. and Miss Lodge gave a large afternoon lea on Thursday prior to their leaving for Australia. Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Lcighton are Wellington visitors to Auckland, and are staying at the .Star Hotel. Mrs. T. W. Lewis, and Misses I. and H. Lewis, are C'hristchurch visitors to Auckland, and are staying at Stonehurst. Mrs. and Miss Burke, Cliristchureli, have returned to their home, after a holiday in Auckland and Wellington. Mrs. Cross anil Miss Avery, who have been holiday making in Auckland, leave at the beginning of the week for Wanganui. Mrs. V. Goodrich, of Melbourne, who has been visiting Auckland, where she was the guest of Mrs. C. Crosher, Takapuna, has returned to Australia. # -:; tt *
Mrs. J. C. Parsons, of Paparoa, is at present on a short visit to Auckland for the purpose of meeting her son, Mr. Thomas W. Parsons, who arrives by the Tofua on Monday next.
