Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Whanga- , rei, report having held their usual monthly stock sales at the following centres: — Pakotai, on Monday, May 0: There was a good yarding of good quality bullocks, with competition fair. Other classes of cattle sold at late rates. A line of quality 3-year steers, on account of Mr. A. Wright, sold at £5 14/; 4-year steers. £5 10/ to £G; 3-year steers, £-1 IG/ to £5 14/; 214-year steers, £4 10/; 2-vear steers, £2 15/; forward cows, £2 17/G to £3; stags, £2 17/0; bulls, £3. Maungakaramca, on May 10: There was a fair yarding of cattle, the advertised numbers coining forward. Competition for beef was dull. All other classes sold under fair competition at slightly below- late rates. Fat heifers, £4 1/ to £4; fat cows, £4 10/ to £4 IS/; fat runners, £2 10/ to ! £2 15/; 2-ycar steers, £4; inferior sorts, £2 15/ to £3; one-year steers, £1 0/; cows and calves, £4 to £4 15/; speved cows, £3 11/; store cows, £1 10/ to £2;; 2-year S.H. heifers, £2 0/; bulls, £3. 1 Sheep: A small yarding, with prices on a par with late rates, fat ewes, 20/; empty culls-ewes, 8/9; M.S. woolly lambs, 13/. FEILD.'NG STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) FSILDIXG, Friday. At the Feilding stock sale to-day, 7000 sheep were yarded, including many good r quality lines, but the bulk was fair to 1 inferior. The tone of the sale was bright 1 and there w;as keen competition at prices ( about on a par witli late rates. H.D. rams, IG/5, 17/G, t 25/ to 27/; wether lambs. 15/, IG/3 to I» 10/8; ewe hoggets, IG/G to 20/7; m.a. ewes, ' 12/3 to 15/; b.f. lambs, 15/ to 10/; two- ' tooth wethers, IS/G to 10/1. Cattle.—The yarding was of medium quality and bidding was slack for nearly all classes. Dairy stock in full quality was hard to quit, except for those close to profit. Fat cattle sold at late rates.
