Mr. S. McCullough of Melbourne, who has been spending three months in the Dominion, sailed for Sydney by the Marama yesterday.

Mr. W. H. Berry, who has been appointed to the position of manager of the Terth office of.the Australian Mutual Provident Society, sailed for .Sydney by the Marama yesterday.
Dr. H. Hcnsler, professor of biologj at the University of Munich, Germany, who has been inquiring into the New Zealand production of meat and wool, was a passenger for Sydney by the Marama yesterday. Among the guests at the Central Hotel are:—Mr. and Mrs. X. W. Stevens (Wellington). Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Carter (Te Aroha), Mr. M. Wells (Cambrid"e), Mr. A. h. Richards (Christchurch), Mr. R. Adams (C.S.A.), Mr. E. H. Ross (Dunedin). The Hon. Vernon Reed, M.L.C., a member of the Royal Commission which is inquiring into the Maori claims for lands confiscated during the Maori War, arrived in Auckland from the South yesterday. Mr. Reed will be present at the opening of the new wing of the Kawakavra Hospital on Wednesday next
