BY-LAW BREACHES.

OFFENDERS BEFORE COURT.

Prosecutions for breaches of by-lawe were brought before Mr. £. C. Cutten, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court this morning by Mr. G. Hogan (city traffic officer), and also by the traffic officers of Takapuna and A von dale* For leaving motor cars unattended in the city A. E. Irving, Charles Travis and H. J. Gilmore were each fined 10/ and costs; for failing to obey traffic officers, H. Stevenson, Albert Lowe, and J. Currie, 10/ and costs, and Eric H. B. Waters, for the same offence was convicted and ordered to pay costs. Fines of 10/ and costs were imposed upon X. Cashmore for leaving a car within 20 feet of a corner, and John E. Turner and E. L. Beaver, for dangerous driving. H. L. Smith was convicted and ordered to pay costs for pillion riding, and B. A. Wade for turning to the right in Queen Street and Customs Street. J A fine of 10/ and costs was imposed upon J. P. Caisley for dangerous driving at Takapuna. Fines of 10/ and costs were also "iinjtfsed upon F. Peekfrean for having no lights at night, and W. H. Dunne, for being unable to produce his licence, both offences being in the Avondale district. H. L. Walters was fined costs for dangerous driving at Avondale.
