TRANSFER TO AUCKLAND.
TARANASI PROTEST SUCCEEDS.

NEW PLYMOUTH, this day,
Recently the Minister of Education asked the TaranaWi Education Board's consent to the transfer of one of its agricultural instructors to the Auckland district. The board protested, en the ground that the instructors were doing very valuable work, and that to reduce the staff weuld be false economy.
The Minister has now advised thai the matter will not be further pursued.
