WIN FOIi WAIKATO. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Monday. In a match for the South Auckland Shield, Waikato defeated the holders nt Seddon Park, Hamilton, yestenlav, by 48 runs. King Country batted first and made IS4 (Winger 41, Eden 18, Christenscn 15, Saitdei 12). Going took live wickets for 36 runs, Fenwiek three for 26. Taylor one for 16, Dufty one for 12. Waikato scored IS2 (Lenihan 41. Itabone 34, Taylor 21, Going 15, Everest 15, Ilawkc 15, Allen 14). For King Country Winger took live wickets for S8 runs, Eden two for 14, Choat two for 27. The shield was handed over to the winners at the conclusion of the match. A team representing the Putaruru Cricket Association defeated a Hamilton Senior B team at Seddon Park. I'utaruru made 176 (Blair 10S). Hamilton replied with 132 (Weir 36, McGrath 33. F. Johnson 2S). A Hamilton junior team was defeated by a visiting Auckland suburban representative team by 15 runs. The visitors made 65 and 73. Hamilton's scores were SO and 43.
