It has been arranged that Poppv Day will be held in Auckland on April 21. when an appeal will be made for funds in the city and suburbs. The allocation of the fund's for disaoied soldier* and needy fit men has been increased to SO per cent, compared with TO per cent last year for the disabled men. and 20 per cent for the needy i\ men, the increase being considered Ueeessarv owing to the largo amount of unemployment. On the evouiii" of poppy Day a Special programme will he put on at the Strand Theatre, and a part of the takings will be set aside for the fund. Last year the Poppy Day appeal realised £1570.
