ALL'S WELL.
AT DEVONPORT END. CONGESTION* EXPECTED THIS EVENING. The new arrangement did not appear to affect the Devonport end greatly, although the "leviathians of* the road" that for several years past have been regularly depositing their human freights at the entrance of the ferry wharf, were conspicuous by their absence. The wellpolished, symmetrical and beautifully upholstered fleet of thirteen limousines put into commission on the new service arrived in orderly fashion, there seemed to be just as big a crush as ever in the queues at the ticket windows, and the seating accommodation on the ferries Was at its usual premium. The novelty of the situation that has arisen consequent upon the Appeal Board's decision, appealed to everyone, and many were early astir in anticipation of witnessing a hopeless mix-up. However, they were disappointed. Those who elected to get to work through the agency of the limousines did not have their faith shattered in the least—indeed they arrived well ahead of scheduled time. Others again preferred to depend upon their own services, more cycles were commissioned than usual, while mothers were scon in a new role—they a«ed as chauffeurs for father. Willie, Alary and the rest of the dan, not to mention a few neighbours, and fitted the uiii excellently. They were dismissed with a curt: "Pick me up at ."..30 dear," duel gaily disappeared amongst a cloud of Petrol smoke to continue , " their interrupted dusting and bed making. The om adage: "Where there is a will there ls a way, ,, applied in their case.
