PREPARATIONS AT THAMES. EX-RESIDENTS INVITED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. Mr. W. E. McDonald, secretary of tha executive- cominittee for the Goldiield's Diamond Jubilee which, occurs at the end of July, left to-day for the South Island, where he will endeavour to arouse the interest of ex-Thames residents in the days of the gold rush. Strong committees have been formed, and the preliminary organisation is practically completed. •
