DESTROYER HITS BACK.
REPLY DISMOUNTS GUN. LONDON. April 10. The Admiralty announces that the British destroyer Veteran was fired at by shrapnel and rifles near Chinkiang. 60 miles east of Nanking. The Veteran replied and dismounted a Chinese gun. There were no British casualties.
