THE DECIDING MATCH. SHORE COLTS DRAW LEVEL. Th-5 linn I of the senior B grade r-nm-potirion «a ; played on Saturday at Eden Park between North Shore Colts ani Fden, the former having made 202 in thpir :: r i r inning? the previous week, and Eden bavins lust one for 16. On the points >iiore had to win the match to tb with rM-Mi. With a sodden wicket the task of making the runs was not easy, and early in the innings it seemed that the home side would collapse entirely, for »ix wickets were down for 87. Then Bpnnetf kept one end going solidly. while Cathie and Hook had brief but profitable careers for 20 and lij respectivp'.y. Still there was a long way to so, v.-hpn Wilson, the last man, joined Bennett with the score at 140. It was quite an exciting la.-t wicket stand that put on s»i runs and almost pulled the game out of fho tirp, only six more runs being for a tie when Wilson lost his winkpf. As a consequence of the win liy Shore, the two teams stand level in the championship and will be bracketed for tho season's honours. Scrip , := : — NORTH PHORE.—First Inning-:. H.
