SPECIAL MEETING
At a special meeting of the ratepaver« and subscribers to the finances of "the Papakura Fire Brigade. the district engineer offered the site opposite to the Papakura stationmaster s house at a rental of £"» per annum for five years. This offer was accepted on ordinary conditions \ plan drawn up by Mr. H. E. McEntee for a fire brigade station was approved of the material costing £6.V The purchase of a ton truck chassis at a cost of £141 was authorised.
A deputation was set up to approach the Town Board asking for an allocation of £.>0 and placing the whole scheme before the board.
