London. * * * • Hie committee of the Western Cadet viueen Carnival held an enjoyable social and dance on Tuesday evening in the ewish Club Rooms. Major and Mrs. J. Hasell acted as host and hostess, and presented prizes to those ladies who collected most money on Flag Day, held in connection with the recent queen carnival. Major Ansell expressed to the ladies e thanks of the committee, and for the admirable work done by the hon. secrecy. Mr. F. J. Gwilliam, to whom a fountain pen was presented. The guests of honour were some of the officers of H.M.S Renown. A farewell was extended to Mies Gwen Walker, a member of the committee, and Lieutenant L.
