It was finally decided to approach the Government for financial assistance towards tin cost of paid officials to patrol dangerous lieaeaos! and that patrols he under the control of municipal authorities. Discussion ensued with reference to the "four-men"' surf reel. Mr. Champ pointed out that it was not at all popular with surf men. I hey preferred a straight-out alarm event for the "fournien substituted, v\ith t.io drv run-out, eliminated, but with time to he taken into consideration. The matter was referred to the council.
