Comet. MELBOURNE PREPARING. ( Rw-*ItH 11.3U a.m. I MELBOURNE, this day. For the purpose of observing the comet Pons-Winnecke, visible in Australia in June, July and August, the big teleacojw at Melbourne Observatory, which has not been used for 40 years, is being put into commission again. The instrument is 166 ft long and the movable section weighs nine ton*. It is the sccond largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
