UNEMPLOYED SLOGAN.
■NO LOAFERS ADMITTED. GET WORK AND KEEP IT. (By Telegraph.—Spccial to " Star.") CHRIST CHURCH, this day. According to the tone of a meeting of unemployed this morning, loafers will receive short shift in future. The slogan adopted is "Work and how to obtain it," and men- who do not play the game are to be ostracised at meetings. There was a gathering of about 150 men. although some of whom were obviously not unemployed. The meeting resolved "That where any one of its number who is given a job which lie can do, and vacates it for no valid reason, or where he misrepresents his position, he will be excluded from subsequent meetings/'
The chairman impressed on men unemployed the necessity for sticking to a job when they got one.
Mr. Hills, who next mounted the platform, said tiiey did not intend to discuss anything which did not have a bearing on the slogan "Work and how to obtain it.''
