MORE FAVOURABLE BALANCE

WELLINGTON, Thursday. Last month's figures for the overseas trade of New Zealand as released by the statistical Department of the Customs Othce are as follows:—lmports £4 011. 060; exports, £5,205,140. The figures for January, 1926, were:—lmports, £4,660,816exports, £5,037,981. - Thus while there has been an increase of £167,159 in exports, there is also a decrease of £649,756 in imports.
