CUBAN WAR VETERAN.
AMERICAN GENERAL IN AUCKLAND.
A visitor to Auckland in the Franconia to-day is Major-General George M. Moulton, of Chicago, who bore a distinguished part in the Spanish American war of 1998. As colonel of the second Illinois infantry, General Moulton did notable work in Cuba, reorganising the civic adminstration of Havana City, instituting the police force in the capital and generally producing order and good government out of chaos and corruption. General Moulton also holds high rank in the Masonic craft. He is Past Master of the Grand Encampment of Knights Templars, and Past Grand Master for the State of Illinois.
