! •—-— j HAMILTON FORTUNATE. • ABNORMAL DEMAND EASILY M£t (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, this day, - Despite the long summer spell and the abnormal demand for water in Hamilton Borough, which has durinjr the past few weeks averaged 70,000 gallons an hour no restriction has been put on the nse of water in the borough. This fact was mentioned by the Mavor Mr. J. IJ. Fow. at a meeting of the I Borough Council last night, during a 1 discussion on the water supplv. His I Worship added that the average qn*ntity used over 24 hours was double the capacity of the reservoirs, and it spike well for the efficiency of the pumping plant that nobody had been asked ; to i call a halt. Users could soak their ' i lawns and Hood their bowling .gntti, j and have as many baths as they fifed. | The water was of very hijrh quality,anj | the town therefore was very fortunately j situated in this respect.
