FOUNDATIONS LAID.
Roman Catholic Pilgrimage to Canberra. ALL STATES REPRESENTED. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The laying of the foundation stones of the first Roman Catholic church, school and convent at Canberra was the occasion of a national pilgrimage of Roman Catholic representatives of all States, over 5000 being present.
Dignitaries included the Archbishops of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
