Mr. Frank Hodges was elected M.P. in December, 1923, and was Civil Lord of the Admiralty in the Mac-Donald Cabinet. Of Welsh descent, he went to work in the mines at the age of 14. and later obtained a Miners' Federation scholarship at Ruskin College, Oxford. He helped to found the Central Labour College.
