Lindsay had an easy win in the men's 220 yds championship, but he was 2'5 of a second under the New Zealand record. Miss D. Magee won the 100 yds intermediate girls' championship, and equalled the New Zealand record of 69 l-ss. The swimming was of a high standard and many close finishes were witnessed.
