FARM FOR NATIVE STUDENTS,

SUVA, January 20.
A somewhat important development in mission work in the colony has just taken place, the Methodist Mission having concluded the purchase of the wellknown Navusa Estate, on the Rewa River, consisting of 860 acres, including 550 acres of fine flat Jand. The land belonged to Mrs. A. Barker and Mr. H. M. Scott, K. 0., and the price rung Into over £10,000. The mission had a Tease of the land, and has established a farm for the agricultural training of their native and Indian students. Good progress has already been made, snd nuw that the mission own the land further activity is expected. Foodstuffs are planted, and experiments are about tj be tried for the Government Department in co-operation with the mUpion. The experiment will be watched with much interest.
