RE-ARRESTED.
AFTER DISMISSAL BY JUSTICES. FRESH CHARGES LAID. ALLEGED PARNELL BURGLARYYesterday at tiie Police Court William Hoggard (59) appeared before Messrs. A. J. Stratford and D. Donaldson. J.P.'s, on a charge of breaking and entering the shop of Henry Ruston, tobacconist, of Parnell Road, and stealing goods valued at £3 8/6. After hearing the evidence, the presiding justices refused to commit accused to the Supreme Court, and dismissed the charge. Hoggard was - discharged. Subsequently he was rearrested this morning, and made a further appearance in Court. In addition to being charged with breaking and entering and theft, there were other alternative charges of theft and receiving.
On the application oi Senior Sergeant Edwards, accused was remanded until •January 10. Bail wag allowed-
Hoggard reminded Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., that yesterday the charge had been dismissed.
