A thief broke into the sacristry of St. Paul's Church, Symonds Street, on Thursday night, and removed several bottles of communion wine. A small safe in which are kept money, books, and the communion plate was tampered with, and a tradesman had to be called in before its door could be opened. There is a distinction —all its own—in the famous 52 Lavender, which makes it wonderfully popular. Sold by chemists and drapers, 2/3, 4/6, 5/, 6/6, 9/6.—(A^.)
