The floor of Mr. H. A. O'Gara's garage, corner of Napier and Hepburn Streets, last night (ell into a hole twenty-five feet deep by twelve feet wide, and his Chevrolet and Ford car*, worth about £400, were at the bottom when he went out this morning to load up his Christmas orders. The cause of the trouble was the collapse of a fifty-year-old sewer which drained the gully into Freeman's Bay. City Council workmen this morning rigged up a temporary derrick with which they fished up the cars from their strange hiding place. The hole was almost as regular as if it had been dug on purpose.
