N.Z. LEAGUE TEAM.

MR. MAIR'S SUSPENSION. TO EXTEND TO JANUARY 10. LONDON, December 23. Messrs. Mair and Ponder attended the Rugby League's Council meeting, which lasted two hours. At the conclusion Mr. Osborne (president) announced that the council approved the sub-committee's action regarding the suspension of Mr. Mair until January 10; and also the suspension of the New Zealand players refusing to play. The council is prepared to continue the tour if Mr. Ponder will carry on the management, failing which the New Zealand team must go home on December 31. Mr. Mair can resume managership after January 10 if he so desires. Mr. Osborne added that Messrs. Ponder and Mair had accepted the decision, without prejudice.
