FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT
CAR FALLS FIFTEEN FEET. YOUNG MAN KILLED. FATALITY AT PONSONBY. Through a motor car crashing over a bank about 15ft in height in Harbour Street, Ponsonby, at half-past eleven last night, Mr. William Huxtable, aged 19, who resided with his parents in Dominion Road, lost his life. The deceased was a passenger in the car, which was being driven by Mr. Reginald Woolley, of Orchard Road, 6ff Dominion Road. The street is a blind one and very narrow. The accident happened at the end, the car going over the left-hand side and landing upside down. Mr. Huxtable was pinned down by the side of the ear. The driver and Mi - . Horace Winstone, of 13, Montague Street, Newton, who was also a passenger in the car, escaped uninjured. A doctor was sent for, but Mr. Huxtable died before aid could be given. An inquest was this morning opened before the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. Evidence of identification was given by the deceased's father. The inquiry was then adjourned sine die.
