ONEHUNGA POLICE COURT.

William John Robinson came before Messrs. J. E. Cowell and J. E. Green, J.P.s, charged with the theft, on December 13, of a quantity of sacks. valued at 15/, belonging to Ah Shew. A resident of Mangere informed the owner of the theft by the accused and a youth. When the latter saw the owner approaching, they drove off, but were eventually overtaken and the propertyrecovered. Robinson was fined £5, in default 14 days' imprisonment.
