Fat thousand yarded. Exporters operated on a shade more than parity with their export schedule, for au'a-und under, 7V4d for and seconds, and 7d for overweights, The big entry waa fairly evenly divided between exporters and butchers, the latter buying the heaviest weight? at easy price*. E3str» prime lamhs mede 28/fl to fflll prime lambs, 25/6 to 28/; medium lambs, 23/e to %h light lambs, 22/ to 23/. Fat smaller eptry than usual, but prices eased by a shilling per head far wethera and from 1/6 ta 2/ for ewes. Exporter* operated, to some extent for wethers on a baeia of 4% to 5d a lb.. It waa a dragging aale. Extra prime wethers made to 33/7; prime, 267 to 2#/8; medium, ?4/fl tq 85/95 light wethers, 22/3 to, 24/; extra prime ewes to 27/1; prime, 21/ to 2d/5 medium, 17/ to 24/j light ewes, 14/ te 16/9: aged ewes, 12/ to 13/9. Fat. Cattle.—An entry of 575 head and a Slightly better sale for prime medium weights and easier for cowa. Extra prime beef made 37/0 to 40/ per lOQlb; average to good quality, from 34/ to 37/; medium, 32/ to 34/; rough, down to 25/; extra heavy steers, £16 to £17 $1$; prime heavy steers, £15 to £16; prime medium-weight steers, £13 10/ to £15 10/; medium quality steers, £10 to £13; light steers, £7 to £9 10/; extra prime heifers, to £1? 17/?; prime heifere, £9 iQ/ to *12; ordinwy heifers, £7 to £9; light heifers, £5 to £0 15/; extra prime powe, to £12 7/6; prime eowe, £8 5/ to #11 15/; ordinary cows, £6 to £8; light cows, £4 to £5 10/. Choppers made £2 10/ to £5 18/6; baconers, £3 10/ to £4 17/6 (average per lb, 6%d to 6%d); porkers, 50/ to 70/ (average per lb, 8d to 9tl). Store competition, a Weet Coast consignment selling well. Weaners made 20/ to 25/; small stores, 27/ to 34/; medium stares, 30/ to 42/; large stores, 48/ to 60/.
