BETTING TAX SEQUEL. (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, December 19. The Treasury since the operation o the betting tax has been losing half t< one-third of the normal entertainmen tax yields from race' meetings. In the House of Commons last Thurs day, Mr. Ronald McNeill (Financial Sec retary to the Treasury) stated that th revenue from betting taxation in Novem ber amounted to £327,000, of whie £17i,000 was duty on certificates an £156,000 betting duty.
