Mrs. W. H. Parkes gave an enjoyable afternoon tea on Saturday to the committee of the Lyceum Club and the conveners and secretaries of the circle who had helped in the performance which took place recently for the Plunket Society. Osborne acted ac i accompanist and at the conclusion supper wae served. j • • • • i When the Feminist Club in Sydney gave the first public women's luncheon in honor of Kose Scott at Farmer's on April 12, 1921, there was a tremendous stir among women's associations and j clubs in Sydney. It was a daring venture (statee an Australian paper)., this business of following the lead of men who dine and wine those whom they would honor, but during the past five years the Feminist Club and other women's organisations have given many luncheons "in honor of" somebody or other.
