Reporting to the Education Board recently, a school medical officer says or some New Zealand children: "20 per cent or them are not up to the proper state or nutrition." This Is a disquieting report. The death occurred in Worcestershire, England, last month of a Mr. Mark Lewis, who served as a sailor on the vessel conveying the first troops to the Indian mutiny. Mr. Lewis, who Was 91 I years of age* at the time of his death, met Dr. Livingstone, the explorer, in Africa, and personally assisted Florence Nightingale below deck during a storm in the Bay of Biscay, when the famous nurse was returning from the Crimean War. !
