SITTING AT AUCKLAND. TRANSPORT EMPLOYEES' DISPUTE. A sitting of the Conciliation Council will be held in Auckland on Monday in continuation of the transport employees' dispute. The claims of the service car drivers were settled at a sitting in Wellington on Friday, and the Auckland proceedings will be in connection with the taxi and bus drivers' claims in regard -to hours, wages, and working conditions. The union is seeking a Dominion award with a 48-hour week, and the following weekly scale of wages: Garage employees, £55/; taxi drivers, £5 5/; taxi drivers of special cars, or engaged on country runs, £6; bus drivers, up to seven passengers, £5 5/; up to fifteen passengers, £5 10/; up to twenty-five passengers, £5 15/; over twenty-five passengers, £6.
