MILITARY MANUAL.
FRANCE TAKES OBJECTION. OLD PRUSSIAN SPIRIT. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, November 12. ' The "Times" Paris correspondent says that the newspapers are perturbed at" the latest German military manual which reminds officers of the Reichswehr that they are successors to the old army, therefore, it is their duty to reconquer Germany's lost provinces. Newspapers point out that the manual was published since the Locarno Conference when Germany resigned her claims to Alsace and Lorraine. The Government has complained to Herr Stresemann, who has replied that the manual was issued without the ' knowledge of the Cabinet, which has 1 ordered its immediate suppression. ! The newspaper "Pertinax" now asserts that the manual is still obtainable in ' Berlin bookshops. 1 The correspondent expresses the ' opinion that Herr Stresemann is r honestly working for peace, but finds it difficult to get his subordinates to c , execute his orders.
