LONDON BUTTER MARKET.
BOARD'S PRICES MAINTAINED. BUT SALES VERY SMALL. LONDON, November 11. The butter market is slow. Danish is quoted at 166/. Australian, choicest salted, is quoted at 140/ to 144/; unsalted, 160/ to 164/. The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board is maintaining the prices fixed on November 4, but sales are very small. Fair quantities of stored New Zealand butter are selling at about 140/. Cheese.—The market is steady. New Zealand, coloured, So/; white, 86/. A rumour was circulated in Wellington yesterday that the Bapks had ceased to make advances against New Zealand butter, but the report was definitely denied by the chairman of the Associated Banks. Messrs. Allen and Findlay, have received the following advice from their principals, Messrs. Armour and Company, Limited, London, dated November 12: — Butter: Free stocks, 138/, 144/. Market quiet. Controlled, 148/, 150/. Practically no business doing.
